i painted this 6-25-2009. oil on canvas. 18 by 24 inches. it's a fast sketch and a simple background, but i love color. somehow it causes a mood. i painted fast just to cover the canvas. i'll work the painting more in the future if the time is to come?

today 6-4-2009 i took a bike ride to glacier park north of mchenry. it was a sunny warm day. i liked how this oak tree stood tall in the open grass land. it has a baby tree near its side. one day it may stand mighty reaching toward the sky.

i painted this picture 6-2-2009. that day i had to go to the hospital and have a procedure done and i was put to sleep. the night before i was thinking about how it might be to die and leave this world, but this painting is about coming into this world. it's not done yet. i'll post the completed painting in time, permitting?
