i painted this 7-11 and 7-12 2009. 24 by 36 inches. oil on canvas. i started painting at 9 pm on the 11th. i painted until the sun came up and the birds were singing on sunday. i took a nap and woke a little after 9am and then painted until noon. i got this far. i will put stars in the sky and maybe paint the shirt light green. i will title it when i am done.

this i painted 6-29 and 6-30. it is the first coat of paint and will be worked more in time. 18 by 24. oil on canvas. title: blessed are the persecuted. persecute = to affict or harass constantly so as to injure or distress. oppress cruelly especially for reasons of religion, race, or politics. to trouble or annoy constantly.

i painted this 6-25-2009. oil on canvas. 18 by 24 inches. it's a fast sketch and a simple background, but i love color. somehow it causes a mood. i painted fast just to cover the canvas. i'll work the painting more in the future if the time is to come?

i painted this 6-22-2009. oil on canvas. 18 by 22 inches. it comes from a picture i took in tamarindo costa rica in may of 2008. it's the first coat of paint. i'll fine tune it when it drys. it took 2 eposodes of gilligan's island to draw and paint!

i painted this 6-17-2009. oil on canvas. 30 by 48 inches. i'm not sure if it is done, so i won't title it yet. i might change the background when it drys. maybe not? this was my third large painting since sunday.
