i painted this 8-21-2009. oil on canvas. 24 by 30 inches. the idea comes from a matisse painting a saw in paris last year. matisse was a french painter 1869-1954. he painted with a flat style almost 2 dimensional or almost collage looking. i had a picture of a woman i know who i took a picture of her in front of a fireplace. the other night i painted in the picasso style. i like how he used lines to get depth. with a mixture of thoughts and visions, i came up with this painting. title: sequence of sensation.
